This centre has a total floor area of 19,600m2, and includes a sports swimming-pool, medicinal and health saunas,
bowling alleys, a fitness club, a roller-skating ring, and a large number of catering outlets. It is situated on
the outskirts of Moscow, at the very edge of forest, on the southern edge of Yasenevo. The design illustrates the search
for answers to questions such as: Is this building part of the city or of nature? Should it be a continuation of the esplanade?
Or should it disappear among the trees? The answers found are, as ever, full of compromises.
